1. Services

Arcand Engineering Solutions Ltd provides civil works, architectural design, electrical installations, and water & irrigation engineering services. All services are delivered in accordance with Ugandan engineering standards, the Building Control Act, and relevant regulatory requirements.

2. Quotes & Pricing

Quotes provided by Arcand Engineering Solutions Ltd are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Pricing is based on the scope of work defined at the time of quotation. Any changes to scope may result in revised pricing.

3. Payment Terms

Payments are structured in tranches tied to project milestones:

  • Mobilisation deposit: paid upon contract signing
  • Progress payments: tied to completed stages of work
  • Final payment: due upon completion and handover

Late payments may result in project delays or suspension. Interest may be charged on overdue amounts at prevailing commercial rates.

4. Scope Changes

Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be submitted in writing. A change order will be issued for approval before proceeding. Additional costs arising from scope changes will be quoted separately.

5. Liability

ARCAND's liability is limited to the value of fees paid for the specific project under which a claim arises. We maintain professional indemnity insurance as required by Ugandan law. We are not liable for consequential losses, loss of profits, or delays caused by force majeure events.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Ugandan courts.

7. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to:

  1. Attempt amicable negotiation for 30 days
  2. If unresolved, refer to mediation
  3. If still unresolved, refer to the courts of Uganda

8. Termination

Either party may terminate the contract with 14 days written notice for material breach. Immediate suspension may occur for non-payment or legal violation. Upon termination, the client shall pay for all work completed up to the date of termination.
